Why Minecraft is not like LEGO

Hello again reader!

Since I have started playing Minecraft on my Xbox 360, a few people I have shown the game to, say that it is kind of electronic LEGO. And I see what they mean! They both involve building stuff. But that for me, is where the similarities end. With LEGO, you can build a creation, but nothing much after that. With Minecraft, you can build a creation, live in and around the creation (Not literally) and then create other features of the world. Basically I’m saying with LEGO, you just get to look at your house or creation, whereas with Minecraft you can create a world with stuff and a house to live in, and look at when you want. Plus you can run out of LEGO bricks, but with Minecraft, its harder to run out of resources. But when you do, you can just craft some more in seconds!

Thanks for viewing the pixels that make up the text I have written, if that is indeed what you did!

Bubble pilot review

Hello reader!

Want to have some quick, harmless, fun? Then check out bubble pilot!
Bubble pilot, by bodgkins, is a game for your android smartphone, and I quite like it. All you have to do is throw a bubble from the bottom of the screen, to the finish point at the top (or the other way round) while avoiding the spinning spikey thing that moves around the screen. If you hit it, your bubble pops, and its game over! There are stars to collect as well, which adds something to aim for!
All in all, its a fun game that, while it may not seem it, can be rather challenging! I’ve managed to get to level 18 before my bubble burst! There is however, no save point, so you can’t quit the game and rejoin on the level you were on. But that’s a minor downside, all in all, its a great game that can provide some quick fun while your waiting for the bus, and lasts as long as you want!

Thanks for reading, and please stay tuned for more like this!

My favourite things about Android 4.0: Part 2

Hello again reader!

This post is about another one of my favourite features of Android 4.0, this one isn’t exclusive to Android 4.0, but still a great feature of the Android OS: The notification LED! How many times have you left your phone in a room, walked out of the room for some reason while your phone received  a text, come back in and not picked up the  text message because you didn’t know you had it? On most Android phones a little, non power hogging, LED light flashes so you know you have a notification of some kind! Never happened to you? OK, imagine your watching a YouTube video on your phone and you get a notification, but the video has audio (Which it probably does) so your phone doesn’t play the notification sound, which allows you to keep enjoying the video, and out of the corner of your eye you see a little light flashing. This can only mean two things: Either the LED is malfunctioning and flashing for no reason or you have a new notification! A notification LED was high on my list when choosing my new phone and on some phones the colour it flashes can be changed depending what type of notification you receive!

Thanks for moving your eyes in line with the words I have written, if that is indeed what you did!

My favourite things about Android 4.0: Part 1

Hello reader!

This is my first proper post on my blog and its about one on my favourite features of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich! Swiping: Why just press on the screen to remove an app from the recent apps list when it can be swiped off the screen? Its looks cooler and its more fun just to slide a finger across the screen from left to right, or right to left, in order to do something like that. Individual notifications can also be removed from the notifications list with a simple swipe, which I think is also more practical than having to remove them all at once!

Thanks for reading, if that is indeed what you did!

Hello world!

Hello all!

This is a blog set up by me to put my thoughts on the interweb. It’s just a bit of fun! I’ll use it to blog about stuff, and mainly to accompany my tech related amateur YouTube channel Shyguy306. So if your reading this please come back and check sometime soon, as I think it will be good fun!
